These terms are an agreement between you and ToyTrove (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using toytrove.app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who can use ToyTrove
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Parents may keep wishlists for younger children from their own account. A parent who invites a family member with the “child” role is responsible for that member’s use of the service.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.
2. Your content
You own what you add to ToyTrove: collection entries, notes, wishlists and profile details. You give us a license to store, display and share that content as needed to run the service, for example to show a wishlist to someone you sent the link to. You can delete your content or your whole account at any time.
Do not post content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, harasses anyone, or includes personal information about another person without their permission.
3. Catalog data and images
Toy and book names, images and prices in the catalog belong to their respective manufacturers, publishers and retailers and are shown for identification only. Suggested retail prices are approximate and may be out of date. If you hold rights to content in the catalog and want it corrected or removed, email hello@toytrove.app.
4. Retailer links and affiliate disclosure
ToyTrove links to Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay and other retailers to help you find toys. Some of these are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one, ToyTrove may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, ToyTrove earns from qualifying purchases. We do not sell products ourselves, and any purchase is governed by the retailer’s terms.
5. Free and paid plans
The core service is free. If we offer ToyTrove Pro, subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe at the price shown at checkout, renew automatically until canceled, and can be canceled at any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future charges; we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice.
6. Shared wishlists and reservations
Anyone with a shared wishlist link can view it and reserve an item. Treat the link like you would treat the list itself: share it only with people you want to see it, and turn sharing off at any time to revoke it. Reservations are a courtesy to avoid duplicate gifts, not a purchase or a promise. We are not responsible for gifts that are or are not bought.
7. Acceptable use
- No scraping, automated access or attempts to overload the service.
- No attempts to access other users’ accounts or data.
- No use of the service to send spam or unsolicited invitations.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
8. Disclaimers
ToyTrove is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that catalog information and prices are accurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToyTrove will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here and notify you of material changes. You can stop using ToyTrove and delete your account at any time. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where state law applies, the laws of the state in which ToyTrove’s operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section limits consumer protections you are entitled to under the law of the place where you live.
